Suggestions for Wintering

Activities

  • Take an epsom salt bath with citrusy essential oils

  • Curl up with a cup of hot tea, a cozy blanket, and a book from your must-read list

  • Pick up a new hobby or continue to develop your practice on an existing one

  • Bundle up and go for a brisk walk outside to connect with the stillness of the season

  • Schedule time just for rest - it can be an hour, an afternoon, a day, a weekend…whatever works for you

  • Stay hydrated inside and out; don’t be afraid of richer creams and moisturizers to protect from the harsh cold outside and overactive heaters inside

  • Light a fire, or incense, or a palo santo - honor the season and bring some warmth into your space

  • Practice yoga, go to a bathhouse, dance - keep your body lubricated and limber

  • Reflect, meditate, attend a sound bath, journal - whatever you can do to journey inwards and hear yourself (again)
